Eido

Terms of Service

Eido turns text you supply into hand-drawn style illustrations, narration and study material. By using the Studio you agree to these terms.

1. Who may use Eido

You must be at least 13 years old to use Eido, and at least 18 years old to enable mature-content rendering. Mature rendering is opt-in, requires a signed-in account and an explicit age confirmation, and can be switched off at any time.

2. Prohibited content

You may not submit text that sexualises minors or anyone of ambiguous age, depicts non-consensual sexual activity, incest, bestiality or trafficking, or that seeks instructions for weapons, drug synthesis or self-harm. These requests are refused automatically, cannot be unlocked by any setting, and are recorded in a compliance log with a one-way fingerprint of the submission.

Repeated attempts to bypass these protections will result in account termination and, where the law requires it, referral to the appropriate authorities.

2a. Federal compliance, deepfakes and mandatory reporting

Eido complies with the reporting duty for child sexual abuse material under 18 U.S.C. § 2258A and with the TAKE IT DOWN Act. Any attempt to generate sexual content involving a minor is refused immediately, the account is frozen, and the event — a one-way hash of the submission, the account identifier and the timestamp — is preserved and reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as the law requires.

You may not use Eido to create non-consensual intimate imagery, sexual deepfakes or any synthetic likeness of a real person in a sexual, degrading or defamatory context, and you may not use it to depict graphic physical abuse, torture, sexual assault or the incitement of violence against any person or group. Notices about non-consensual imagery of you are actioned on receipt.

2b. Sensitive history and survivor testimony

Slavery, racial terror, the Holocaust, genocide, wartime trauma and survivor memoir can be illustrated for education, documentation, civil-rights study and biography. When Eido recognises such a subject it asks you to declare that intent, then draws every panel with solemn, symbolic, non-graphic art direction and can stamp your exports with a viewer-discretion title card.

3. Mature literature

Adult romance and literary violence are supported for verified adults, but Eido never renders explicit imagery. Such passages are illustrated as artistic metaphor — silhouettes, closed doors, weather, objects — in the spirit of a classic film fade-to-black. Panels drawn from mature passages are blurred until you choose to reveal them.

4. Your content, AI output and commercial rights

You keep all rights in the text you upload and you are responsible for having the right to use it. You keep the illustrations, storyboards, study guides and exports Eido produces for you. Do not upload copyrighted material you are not licensed to process.

Output you generate on any paid plan may be used commercially — festivals, broadcast, publishing, merchandise — worldwide and royalty-free. We claim no ownership of your production and no licence to it beyond what is needed to store and deliver it to you.

5. AI credits, subscriptions and refunds

Generation consumes credits. Eido shows an estimate before any large run, caps the amount of text sent per scene, and limits how many generations run at once so costs stay predictable. You can also supply your own provider API keys, in which case those requests are billed by your provider and no Eido credits are spent.

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled and can be cancelled at any time from billing settings, with access running to the end of the paid period. Unused credit top-ups are non-refundable once spent; if a run fails through our fault, the credits are returned to your balance.

6. Code of conduct

In shared rooms — table reads, screening rooms, collaboration boards — treat other participants with respect. Harassment, hate speech, impersonation, recording someone without consent and sharing another member's private material are grounds for removal from a room and, on repetition, account termination.

7. No warranty

AI output can be inaccurate. Study guides, cheatsheets and derivations are learning aids and are not a substitute for your source material or your instructor. Eido is provided as-is, without warranties.

8. Reporting

Every panel has a report control. Reports reach us with a one-way fingerprint of the passage and your description — never the text itself.

9. Dispute resolution and governing law

We would rather fix a problem than argue about one: contact support first and we will try to resolve the issue within 30 days. Anything unresolved is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, and is handled by binding individual arbitration or, at your option, small-claims court. Class actions are waived.
